Stream C
Stream C is an expansion of a long-standing joint program between the University of Winnipeg (UW) and Red River College (RRC). By combining the resources of both institutions, students are able to earn both RRC’s two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and UW’s three-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Developmental Studies (Child Development and Child Care) in a four-year period of full-time study. The program is particularly designed for those who wish to pursue the area of early childhood development and who seek certification as an Early Childhood Educator III under the regulations of Manitoba Family Services and Housing.
Stream C is a professional program designed for those who wish to obtain advanced early childhood education training. The program will prepare graduates for a variety of positions including child care specialists who function as directors, supervisors and early childhood educators; and staff specializing in programs for the developmentally delayed and other special needs children.
