Exciting Opportunity to Work in Early Childhood Education in Bangkok, Thailand!

- Language of Instruction? 80% English, 20% Thai
- Who are the administrators? Seri Parndejpong, Director of Lertlah School; Proud Parnedejpong, Project Development (Runs the GrapeSEED Program); Gary Smith, Associate Director of Lertlah Schools; and William Middleton, Director of Special Projects
- In which classrooms will I be working? - Nursery (2-year olds), Kindergarten 1 (3-year olds), Kindergarten 2 (4-year olds)
- When? May 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013
- Am I eligible? You must have a B.A. degree from the University of Winnipeg, Developmental Studies, Stream C (Stream A candidates whose field is in Early Childhood Education may also be eligible).
- What is the monthly salary? 30,000 Thai Baht (approx. $1000 Canadian) per month
- Are any other expenses covered? Yes, you will receive
- 3,500 Thai Baht/month for housing, and
- $1,500 Canadian for your airfare to and from Bankok (covering the start and end of your contract)
- Are there any benefits? Yes, you will receive
- a 2-week paid holiday in October and a 1-week paid holiday in March
- Health Insurance after a 3-month probation
- Do I need a work permit? Yes. Lertlah School will help you secure one
Does the University of Winnipeg have a formal partnership with Lertlah School? Yes. In 2005, the Faculty of Education at the University of Winnipeg (UW) formed a partnership with Lertlah Private Schools in Bangkok, Thailand. Lertlah schools serve as a year-long international practicum site for our UW Education students. Lenna Glade is our UW on-site Education Program Coordinator. Mr. Seri Parndejpong, the Director of Lertlah Schools, wishes to broaden the school's partnership with UW to include our ECE students or graduates from Developmental Studies. - Whom do I contact if I am interested or need more information?
